FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are your fees? How can I pay? Can you direct bill?
In accordance with the Psychologists' Association of Alberta's recommended fee schedule, each 50-minute individual session is $235. I keep the same fee for clients located in Ontario. In-person sessions are available in downtown Toronto with a fee of $260. Fees are payable by credit card.
As a solo practitioner without an admin team, I cannot direct bill at this time. You will receive a receipt after the session so you can submit it to your insurance for reimbursement. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance your coverage.
Please note that sessions cancelled within 24 hours are subject to the full session fee for late cancellation.
Do you see people in person or only online?
My practice is mostly online. However, if you want in-person therapy and are in the Greater Toronto Area, we can arrange in-person sessions in downtown Toronto. Please email me so we can arrange it. In person sessions have a fee of $260.
How long will I need to participate in therapy before I feel better?
There is no set amount of sessions you have to attend, and everyone is different in terms of what they need. Some people only need a few sessions, while others need more support. However, you should notice improvement or differences after a few sessions.
Also, you get to decide how often you would like to attend. You also have no obligation to continue therapy, and you can stop at any time.
How does it work if I want to book therapy for a minor?
For new clients, you will need to contact me, indicating the child's age and if both parents are together. If the parents are not together, I request the consent of both parents, except in cases of sole custody (I will need the documentation).
For minors 12 and younger, the first session is an intake with the parents (the child doesn't participate). After a few sessions with the child, we will have a parent follow-up session.
For minors aged 13 to 17, parents can be present at the start of the first session to give consent and express their concerns, but subsequent sessions are usually held only with the minor.
How do I know if you can help me?
You can contact me, and we can set up a 15 min phone consultation to answer your questions and see if it's a good fit.
